Why are we raising $500,000 for parking lot paving?

  • We are required by city code to manage water runoff from our property so that it does not impact neighboring properties. (The new police station)
  • Our west and north gravel parking lots are unsafe and cumbersome, creating liability for the church
  • People that are physically disabled have difficulty navigating our gravel parking areas
  • Paving provides safe additional parking for community use
  • Paving makes parking more convenient, which statistically is more appealing for unchurched guests. This helps remove a growth barrier.
  • New ADA access on the front of the building will update our building to current codes and demonstrate we care about meeting these needs of our attenders.
  • Paving, along with the landscaping that is required, will elevate the outside of our building’s aesthetic, improving the visual appeal of the community. We have always believed that the physical transformation can be an example of the internal transformation God desires in us all.
  • This creates a church-wide opportunity to grow in our faith collectively by trusting God individually and corporately
  • Projects have always grown our unity as a church as we seek to accomplish something big for God together


What does $500,000 do?

  • Gravel parking lots on the west and north side of our building need to be paved
  • Engineered water drainage and retention systems installed
  • Landscaping (green space) required
  • New ADA parking in our front parking lot (East side of our building)
  • Water catch basins updated in our front parking lot
  • Painting, striping, and new curbs
  • All permitting required from the city and county


How can you be a part?

  • Pray and ask God for His provision. Pray for your church, the resources needed and our testimony in the community. Pray that even a parking lot is a witness to our community of who God is.
  • Ask God for additional resources to give towards this project. For some of you $625 per person is a big step of faith. Pray for it. Ask God for it. Watch for it.
  • Be willing to make some sacrifices to save money to give away. Little sacrifices add up quickly over 5 months.
  • For those who have been blessed with more resources, pray. Ask God what He would have you give. What is your faith amount? God blesses some of us with resources for Kingdom movement.
  • Watch for God’s generosity back to you. It may not always be in actual dollars, but other ways that save you money and benefit you financially.
